Narcotics are substances or drugs derived from plants or plant not either synthetic or semi-synthetic that can cause a reduction or alteration of consciousness, loss of taste, reduce to relieve pain, and can lead to dependence.

Psychotropic substances or drugs are either natural or synthetic non-narcotic, which merit psychoactive through selective effect on the central nervous system that causes the typical changes in mental activity and behavior. More often used by doctors to treat mental disorders.

The Dangers Of Drugs

The influence of drugs in general there are three:

1. Depressants
Pressing up or slow down the central nervous system function so as to reduce the functional activity of the body.
Can make the wearer feel calm, giving a sense soared, giving the feeling of happiness and even put him to sleep or unconsciousness

2. Stimulants
Stimulates the central nervous system and improve excitement (fresh and excited) and consciousness.
These drugs can work reduce sleepiness due to fatigue, reduced appetite, speed up heart rate, blood pressure and respiration.

3. Hallucinogens
Can alter sensory stimulation clear and change the feelings and thoughts that lead to a false impression or hallucinations.
The scholars agreed illicit drugs when not in an emergency. Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah said, "Drugs as well as intoxicating substances prohibited by the consensus of the scholars. In fact, any substance that can eliminate a reasonable, though not forbidden to consume intoxicating "(Majmu 'Al-Fataawa, 34: 204).
The arguments that support illicit drugs:
First: Allaah says,
ويحل لهم الطيبات ويحرم عليهم الخبائث
"And for them to justify all that is good and forbids them evil things" (QS. Al A'rof: 157). Each of the khobits prohibited by this paragraph. Among khobits meaning is that a negative effect.

Consuming Drugs in Emergencies
Sometimes several types of drugs included in the drug or drugs are needed for the sick to treat wounds or to reduce pain. This is an emergency. And under these circumstances is permissible in view of kaedah often cited by scholars,

"Emergencies allow anything forbidden"
Imam Nawawi rahimahullah said, "If I needed to consume the majority of drugs to reduce pain when amputate hands, then there are two opinions among Syafi'iyah. The right is permissible. "
Al Khotib Ash Syarbini of the Syafi'iyah said, "Allow use of similar drugs in the treatment when no other drugs were found although eventually cause intoxicating effects because this condition is an emergency".

Thus our brief discussion about the law regarding drugs. In essence, Islam is very concerned about the safety of all sense and soul of a Muslim so until forbidden various illicit consumption of such drugs. However, due to bad environmental influences, young people today are easily affected by gelamornya world. So that they were affected by bad friends who invite to far from God. Advice of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam really could be a lesson for us all.
مثل الجليس الصالح والجليس السوء كمثل صاحب المسك, وكير الحداد, لا يعدمك من صاحب المسك إما تشتريه, أو تجد ريحه, وكير الحداد يحرق بدنك أو ثوبك أو تجد منه ريحا خبيثة
"Someone who sit (friends) with the ugly Salih and those who are like friends with the owner of musk oil and blacksmith. If you are not awarded to him musk oil, you can buy from him, or at least can smell. As for friends with a blacksmith, if you do not find the body or clothes burned, the minimum you can smell bad "(HR. Bukhari no. 2101, from Abu Musa).
