UNDERSTANDING MONOTHEISM

Tawheed is the basic attitude of a Muslim who makes God as the only One who has the right to be worshiped and obeyed immediately His commands and prohibitions. Tawhid also makes a Muslim just make Allah as the destination.

In harfiyah, tawhid means "one", ie the one God, there is no god besides Him (Oneness of Allah). Tawheed is summarized in the phrase tahlil, ie La ilaha Illaallaah (there is no god but Allah).

Tawheed into core religious teachings of the prophets and apostles, since Adam's to the Prophet Muhammad as the last prophet and messenger, no more prophets / apostles afterwards.

"And verily We sent messengers to every nation (to call):" Worship Allah (alone), and shun taghout it "(QS. An-Nahl: 36).

"And We did not send a rasulpun before thee but We revealed to him:" Behold, there is no god (the right) but I, so worship ye shall all I do. "(Surat al-Anbiya: 25).

"And they just told to worship God Almighty; There is no god (the right to be worshiped but He). Glory be to Allah from what they associate. "(Surat at-Tawbah: 31)

"So worship Allah by purifying keta`atan Him. Remember, only religion Allah belongs the net (from Shirk). "(Surah Az Zumar: 2-3).

  "Though they are not ordered except to worship God with keta`atan Him purifies the (running) straight religion" (Surah Al-Bayyinah: 5).

Tawheed is the main pillar that gives the spirit of doing obedience to God. People who would do good to tawheed and just because God alone.

Various Kinds of Tawheed
Tawheed is divided into three parts, namely Tawheed of Lordship, Tawheed Uluhiyyah, and Tawheed Al Asma Was Shifat.

1. Tawheed Rububiyyah is the belief that Allah is the sole creator and sustainer of the universe; that God is the Lord, the King, and Creator of all beings, and it is God who set up and change their circumstances.

  "Praise be to Allah who has created the heavens and the earth and Hold dark and light" (QS. Al An'am: 1).

2. Uluhiyyah Tawheed is the belief that Allah is the only one worthy of worship and asked for help.

"You alone are we worship and Thee only we ask for help" (QS. Al-Fatihah: 5).

3. Tawheed Al-Asma 'was nature is the belief that only God has the names and properties according to which God has set for himself in the Qur'an and hadith, the Beautiful Names.
